I Know, I know .. it seems so long ago already, but we still try to get over it... still find some green sparkling stuff here and there..
We were right there in the middle of the green crazyness, selling T shirts and brave enought to open the gallery !.. if it was a lot of work and organisation, and we struggle just to get overthere and find a parking space (!) , we did pretty good and we had a lot of fun .And man, did we see some strange green people around..
"The Dude Strikes Back"
Thank you to all of you who came to our party : we had a wonderful crowd again this year. What a fun. You really tied the room together. We had the surprise to see , among others, a Sam Elliott, the dude Abides (Chuck), a nihilist, a marmot and it's master (Ryan Nye) , Donny (Kirsten) , some zombies.... Mrs Smith won the price for the best costume. Check some pictures on our events section The buffet was just excellent as usual, prepared by Alise Seidl- who is a real master in that matter- with a little help from Brigitte . The bartender, Lauren , was not only efficient but simply beautiful The ambiance was so cool : what a blast. The games were hilarious - target game, characters bowling game. Really fun decors once again. Bravo for the great team work. Sorry to rub it in, all of you who couldnt make it to our 16th annual party. lol but sincerely, it was so much fun, we are ready to do another one! huh. let's wait a little before doing it. Yesterday we got a new kid in the block... I mean : a new artist in the gallery: Sonny Bergum . Native of Augusta, Georgia, Sonny’s inspiration goes from M.C. Escher to Dr Seuss and here is the result : a special style, full of fantasy, on canvas. So whimsical, funny and colorful Welcome, Sonny... I wish you a lot of luck with your art.. Hi EverybodyIt’s already the end of August; I just can’t believe it: almost Christmas! Well, kind of. I’m still working on last Christmas’ gifts…any volunteers to help me this year?? Perhaps I’ll buy everyone some art...or gift certificate at A.T.Hun!
I thought y’all could use a little update. Other NewsYep yep, yep. Perhaps you noticed that our old website is gone. Crushed. Kaput Dead. But our new website has gotten plenty of attention, and we have already received so many positive comments and responses about our gallery, our website and our terrific team...
You can view some of the comments we've received in the column to the right. Thanks to all of your support, our ego has gotten HUGE! ;) Chuck had a lot of “fun” changing our lighting system. The new anti-gravity system totally changed the look of the Hun. Now we’re tapping into our new surreal style. Pretty sweet, right?
New Artist: Kirsten AllenLet me introduce you to our new artist of the month:
(Drumroll, please!) Kirsten Allen, who is also one of our employees. Her pieces are awesome.. a mixture of mixed media and oil paint. Click on the images below to view them bigger.
Born in Texas, she graduated from SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design). Kirsten has a tendency to prefer line work over color due to the use of her favorite artistic instrument, the ballpoint pen. She is currently working on a children’s book. The book is full of everyday household monsters!
She is super funny and full of imagination and talent, you’ll just have to come in and see for yourself. Really special artwork and artist, that’s for sure. Besides that, new pieces of art appear here and there, from all of our
different artists. The whole place, as always, is just a delight for the eyes. Also, next month we will have the pleasure of carrying the artwork of 3 new artists. But, we’ll see then won’t we? Oh yes baby… Here we are again… back and with our new website... I’m so excited, so happy. Thanks to some “nice” people who had fun vandalizing our old web site, we now have a brand new cool one!!!!!!!!! yaaaaaaaaaa … friendly, funny , updated, and easy to handle. Thank you, Fred Pirlot, for helping us so quickly.. and what a mass of work in such a short period of time... ”Bravo” man.. If you have time, check it out… go through all the different pages… If you don’t have time.. well.. either it ‘s too bad because you are missing a lot of new stuff, or you should just try to find the time to check it out …. Fun at the HunSavannah is a long way from Soho, and A.T.Hun is even further. This is not your typical art gallery. Our staff is friendly, our artists are crazy (in a cool, artist way), and our customers share the spirit.
